At SwampEnd, we build SwampRat Karts, designed specifically for either dirt, clay or grass karting. The SwampRat chassis is extremely flexible with adjustments to tighten/balance. A 25mm ride-height adjustment gets the kart up for better handling in the slippery conditions.
A “twin” chassis makes good for either single or twin-engine rig or for stationary engines to be mounted on the left side, freeing up space for sprocket/chain etc. Made from 28mm 4130 MIG welded tube, they are designed and built for rugged use.
Crash Barrier Bags
Our crash barrier bags (aka, bang bags) have a ten-year anti UV protection (rotate them every two years to extend their life cycle).
Two sizes available, General trackside-850mm x 600mm x 4m long, (supplied in bundles of 10) and Flag Marshal protection- 850mm x 600mm x 1.6m long, (supplied in bundles of 20).
The bags have sewn-in loops for tying/attaching/pegging and have a drawstring closure. An 80 – 85% fill rate is recommended to create an absorbing and deceleration effect.
These crash barrier bags are extremely tough, resisting & protecting even the most determined karter! They protect drivers, officials and public alike, reducing injury and equipment damage.
Reports from clubs and officials in the NZ karting scene indicate they are readily accepted by the karting fraternity.

SwampEnd Karts supplies wheels, turf saver tyres, Lifan 163FML engines for the “Lifan” class. We also supply a 125cc “semi-auto” engine for the junior grades of grass karters. Along with engines, engine mounts, exhaust headers and pipes, wiring looms, fuel header tanks, shifter levers and cables and associated brackets to suit both 200 and 125cc engines.
In stock most times- stationary 200cc engines and centrifugal clutches for use on the clay tracks (Cadets).
SwampEnd stocks Lifan clutch cables, 2:1 throttle cable and the 2:1 cable adaptor.
Along with the grass karting supply/service, we build and tune Rotax 125 engines, Yamaha KT100 engines, we supply “dirt-tuned” clutches for the clay track KT drivers. SwampEnd can supply new 9t clutches for the KT engine.
